The main reason for hair to dry out is not drinking enough water, medication, wrong product choice, using hot water to wash your hair, sleeping on cotton/ rough pillow case etc. Frizzy hair is craving for moisture.

Here are some amazing home remedies to treat your frizzy locks and make them soft and shinier.

Avocado and olive oil mask-
Avocado is a rich source of proteins, amino acids, and vitamins. It helps to rejuvenate and moisturize the scalp and promotes long, strong, healthy hair growth. Olive oil is rich in healthy fats which make it ideal for hair. It moisturizes the scalp and adds strength and shine to hair. Mash the avocado and add some olive oil in it, whip them together. Apply the avocado mask to your hair; make sure to fully cover all your hair. Leave it for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with mild shampoo and enjoy soft and smooth hair.

Bananas and Honey Mask-
Bananas are rich in natural oils, potassium, carbohydrates, and vitamins. It helps to lock in moisture and add shine to your hair and help prevent and repair split ends.
Honey is rich in antioxidants, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps to get rid of impurities, unclog pores and clean the scalp.
Mash one ripe banana and add two tablespoons of honey in it. Apply the mask all over your hair and scalp. Put a shower cap over your hair and leave it on for 30 minutes to an hour. Rinse your hair and then shampoo and condition as usual.

Aloe Vera and coconut oil mask-
Aloe vera contains proteolytic enzymes which repair dead skin cells. It also acts as a great conditioner and leaves your hair all smooth and shiny. It promotes hair growth, prevents itching on the scalp, reduces dandruff and conditions your hair.
Coconut oil is rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids. It nourishes the scalp and helps to remove sebum build-up from hair follicles.
Take an aloe Vera leave and extract fresh gel from it and add 3 tbsp. of coconut oil. Mix them well and apply this on your hair from roots to tip. Keep this mask for 20-25 minutes and then wash off using your regular shampoo.

Egg and olive oil mask-
Eggs are one of the best sources of protein. Protein makes hair follicles stronger. They also contain folate and other minerals that stimulate hair growth and prevent hair loss. Olive oil is rich in healthy fats which make it ideal for hair. It will act as an emollient and help lock moisture into your hair. Whisk one egg and add one teaspoon of olive oil. Mix them well. Apply it on your hair and leave it on for about a half an hour. Rinse it out and wash your hair thoroughly with a mild shampoo.

Coconut water mask-
Coconut water hydrates dry scalp effectively. It is anti-fungal in nature. Lauric acid present in coconut water also helps in improving the hair strength and reduce hair loss. Apply the coconut water on your hair and cover your head with a towel. Leave it on overnight. In the morning, wash your hair with mild shampoo and enjoy shiny and bouncy hair.

Some more tips to avoid frizzy hair-

  • Never use hot water to wash your hair. Heat can damage the cuticles and cause the frizz. Always use cool or normal water.
  • Avoid heat styling tools. Heat causes damage.
  • Use silk pillow case.
  • Don’t over wash your hair.
  • Try to use sulfate free shampoo.
  • Do not towel dry your hair. Friction can cause more damage.
